Act

Action enables interaction. Thought and action should not live in isolation but in interdependency.

In our cities there is the tendency to separate planning from execution. This limits our capacity to see opportunities and to build inclusive and sustainable processes. This is why we must act before plans are perfect to leave space for improvisation, and to challenge the structures behind our actions – from budgeting to organizational models – to enable shared ownership and engagement.

Urban Practice helps different actors in the city to connect and have impact by producing events, festivals, experiments and placemaking projects, and by making innovations on cause marketing, cross-sectoral collaboration and funding models.
